Description

#DonnerParty #DonnerPartyCannibalism #DonnerPartyMystery It sits in a meadow beneath the Sierra Nevada, a few miles from what is now Truckee, California. In the winter of 1846, this was supposed to be a temporary camp — a place to wait out a storm before continuing west. Instead, the snow kept falling. The food disappeared. The animals were killed one by one. People began dying inside their shelters. And eventually, the survivors did something so horrifying that their name became almost synonymous with it.
