Is This 100 Year Old Whiskey Drink Better Than A Manhattan?

Combining rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, Cherry Heering, and a hint of absinthe, it delivers a complex balance of baking spice, dark cherry, vanilla, and anise. #ryewhiskey #cocktails #cherry *JOIN THE BAR* on https://www.patreon.com/thebrokenbar *SIGN UP FOR NEWSLETTER* https://thebrokenbar.com *REMEMBER THE MAINE* 2 oz | 60ml Rye Whiskey (Pendleton 1910 12-Year Rye used in video) ¾ oz | 22.5ml Sweet Vermouth (Carpano Antica Formula used in video) ¼ oz | 7.5ml Cherry Heering ½ Barspoon | ~2.5ml Absinthe Garnish | Expressed Lemon Peel (discarded), Brandied Cherry *BAR GEAR I USE IN VIDEOS* Cocktail Mixing Glass https://amzn.to/4nLbHK8 Bar Spoon https://amzn.to/3IA3rwc Shaker TIns https://amzn.to/3U0KXHM Hawthorn Strainer https://amzn.to/4qtYJlz Julep Strainer https://amzn.to/461DtM3 Fine Mesh DBL Strainer https://amzn.to/4lkWWMg OXO Jigger https://amzn.to/3IeXmFD Japanese Jigger https://amzn.to/4lE071w Steel Muddler https://amzn.to/3Twydsd Juicer https://amzn.to/3IlT8fq Lewis Bag + Mallet https://amzn.to/4llEFPb Microplane https://amzn.to/4lJXawe By using the affiliate links above, I may earn a small commission if you decide to purchase anything.
