A Wildfire Trapped the Entire Town — We Had One Bridge Left

A wildfire has cut off the town of Pine Ridge. The eastern highway is blocked, the fire front is closing in, and four thousand people have only one possible escape: a seventy-year-old steel bridge over Blackwater Gorge. But the bridge’s eastern bearing is already failing. As the final evacuation coach arrives—with James’s family and dog aboard—James and the fire chief have minutes to construct a temporary brace and decide whether the old bridge can survive one final load. Can they get the entire town across before the wildfire reaches the bridge? This is a fictional cinematic dramatization created for entertainment. Pine Ridge, its characters and the events depicted are fictional. The production combines AI-generated reconstruction with genuine illustrative public-domain wildfire footage.
