Description

My books are on sale now 📖 The Prepper's Field Manual, and all three as the collection. Grab them here: https://dalebrooks.com In the first week of October 2026, the National Weather Service in Duluth put a Freeze Warning on the northern woods of Minnesota. Real military surplus is offered back to the military and other agencies before it's sold, so a store can't reorder a lot once it's gone, and on the day Dale priced these, the leather glove shells, a wool watch cap, an unissued folding shovel and a case of MREs were out of stock at one store or another. The Army's own cold weather manual says a lost glove below zero can mean a permanent injury, and the weather service's wind chill chart puts bare skin in trouble in as little as 5 minutes. Out where Dale lives, the ambulance is 40 minutes away on a good day. Subscribe to the channel: @preppedamerica In this video, we talk about 9 cheap army surplus items for a northern winter, including the folding shovel that clears a truck's tailpipe in a drift, the wool blanket for the truck and the warm room, wool glove inserts at about $5 a pair, the wool watch cap and the "GI" cap with no wool on its listing, the waterproof clothing bag posted from $2.35 to $26.99 the same week, why the Army says its plastic canteen freezes first, the steel canteen cup for boiling snow, why MREs came off Dale's count, and the white vapor barrier boot he put back. 🔔 Subscribe so the next count reaches you before the next cold snap does. 💬 Comment where you're watching from and how many dry pairs of gloves your house has per person. 📢 Send this to somebody who drives a county road in winter, on Facebook, Reddit or the family group chat.
