Description

🔗 Get a beautiful perennial garden with less watering, fewer costly mistake from Henry’s Garden Blueprint: https://henrysgardensecrets.com/ If you've been saving coffee grounds for the hydrangeas - stop before you tip them out. I did that six years to turn mine blue. They never turned blue. Six springs on a job that could not have worked. And you've done some of the rest of this list. Everybody has. These come from a magazine, a neighbor, or a mother whose garden was better than yours - which is why nobody questions them. Here's what I had wrong for a long time. I thought the cost was wasted time. It isn't. Four of these twelve waste an afternoon. The other eight are damaging the plant while you do them - shallower roots, scorched leaves, a trunk that can't hold itself up. 🔬 A FEW OF THE NUMBERS Used coffee grounds come out at about pH 6.5 to 6.8 - essentially neutral. The acid went into the cup you drank. Epsom salt only helps if your soil is actually short of magnesium, and most isn't. Piled on soil that doesn't need it, it interferes with calcium uptake and drives deficiencies of boron, iron and potassium. Eggshells as a slug barrier stop working the moment they get wet - from an Oregon State Extension Master Gardener trial, not a forum. And to change clay soil with sand you'd need sand at about half the total volume; anything less fills the pore space and leaves you worse off than the clay you started with. Household vinegar is 5% acetic acid. It burns the top and the roots survive, so the weed is back in two weeks. And the version that does work - horticultural vinegar at 20% - causes severe chemical burns and permanent eye injury at 11% and above. "It's only vinegar" is how people get hurt. ⚠️ Also in here: the one where I'll tell you straight that the science isn't settled, and show you where the argument actually is. Why the water-droplet myth is true for a few plants and false for almost all of them, and why believing it makes people leave a wil
