She breathed her last on March 13 at the Holy Spirit Hospital in Mumbai due to heart failure at the age of 72. While she may not have been a quintessential leading lady, her silent yet powerful screen presence in over 100 films left an indelible mark on 70s and 80s cinema. Madhu Malhotra is eternally etched in our memories as the heartbroken gypsy woman in Subhash Ghai's Hero (1983), visually breathing life into Reshma's iconic, tear-jerking song, Lambi Judai. From making her debut in the Ramsay Brothers' horror film Andhera (1975) to playing pivotal supporting roles alongside superstars—such as Amitabh Bachchan’s sister in The Great Gambler, Paintal's love interest in the ensemble comedy Satte Pe Satta, and Pinky in the reincarnation drama Karz—she was a versatile talent. She continued her journey into the 90s with notable appearances in films like Heer Ranjha, King Uncle, and Ghulam. According to her son Manu, despite her immense love for acting, Madhu Malhotra was a family-first woman who chose roles that allowed her to be a strong support system for her three children. Today, Hindi Radio pays a tearful tribute to this graceful and unsung hero of Bollywood's golden era. 🙏 Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4pLhHTgL-WUgH1GlEo6jmg/join Blog - https://oldactorsbiography.blogspot.com/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/biographyandreallifestory/ Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/WoSuhaaneDin Subscribe to get notification of latest video https://goo.gl/iMhDyU 🔍 Tags Madhu Malhotra Death News 2026, Lambi Judai Actress Madhu Malhotra, Satte Pe Satta Cast Madhu Malhotra, Hero Movie 1983 Lambi Judai Banjaran, Madhu Malhotra Biography, Bollywood Veteran Actress Passed Away, The Great Gambler Amitabh Bachchan Sister, Karz Movie Pinky Character, Manu Malhotra Mother, Old Bollywood Actresses Supporting Roles. #️⃣ #MadhuMalhotra #BollywoodNews #LambiJudai #RestInPeace #HeroMovie #SattePeSatta #OldBollywood #BollywoodTragedy #HindiRadio #ClassicCinema
