I Wish (1985) — an original 1980s-inspired synth-pop song from an alternate timeline. 🌴 Night Drive Records — original music inspired by the forgotten romantic sounds of the 1980s, reimagined with modern production. “I Wish” is a romantic 1985 synth-pop song about wanting to be more than just somebody someone knows — and finding the courage to finally admit what you've been hiding. Soaring male vocals, stacked harmonies, LinnDrum percussion, DX7 electric piano, Prophet-5 synth bass, shimmering Juno-106 pads and chorus-soaked electric guitar build into a wide, emotional 1980s production. A melodic synth-pop sound built around longing, hesitation and the feeling of a forgotten FM radio favorite from another timeline. 🎧 Night Drive Records Original music inspired by the lost romantic sounds of the 1980s. #Synthpop #80sSynthwave #80sMusic
