Description

Are You Receiving Holy Communion Correctly? Most Catholics Never Learned This. Every Sunday, millions of Catholics walk up for Communion — but how many were ever actually taught what the Church asks of us before we receive? This video walks through what “worthy reception” of the Eucharist really means: the state of grace, the Eucharistic fast, the reverence behind how we approach the altar, and the deeper meaning packed into the single word we say every time — “Amen.” This isn’t about rules for their own sake. Saint Paul’s warning in 1 Corinthians 11:27–29 is one of the most serious in Scripture, and it exists because the Church teaches that the Eucharist is not a symbol — it is Christ himself, truly present (John 6:55). Understanding that changes everything about how we walk up that aisle. We’ll unpack the Eucharistic fast, the Church’s teaching on receiving in a state of grace, the reverence taught by St. Thomas Aquinas, and St. Augustine’s teaching on what “Amen” really means when we say it to the Body of Christ. If this helped you see the Mass differently, hit like, subscribe, and tell us in the comments: what’s one thing you’re going to do differently before Communion this Sunday? Part of our ongoing series on the Mass and the sacraments — helping you go deeper into the faith you already have. #HolyCommunion #CatholicFaith #Eucharist #CatholicTeaching #Mass
