The Pharaoh Who Was Murdered by his own Bodyguards #shorts

He was murdered by the men paid to protect him — and somehow, we know exactly how it happened, because he told us himself. Amenemhat I, founder of Egypt's 12th Dynasty, was likely assassinated by his own bodyguards around 1962 BCE. The account survives in "The Instructions of Amenemhat," an ancient Egyptian text written as if narrated by the murdered king — composed for his son and successor, Senusret I, and copied by scribes for the next 800 years. #EgyptianHistory #AncientEgypt #Pharaoh #AncientLiterature #Archaeology #History #AncientHistory #Egypt #MiddleKingdom #historyfacts #Civilizations #Documentary #historydocumentary #shorts Note: The assassination is documented through this literary text rather than forensic/physical evidence — historians debate how literal vs. symbolic the account is.
