Description

There is a book on this colony, written in German, that has been added to every year since 1762. It says computers must be done away with. I did this month's accounts on one. In this one I explain the rule we actually use, because there is one and it is consistent and it has nothing to do with old and new. It is one question: what is this thing for. If it does the colony's work, it comes in. If it carries the world into the colony, it does not. A combine does work. A television does not. The telephone does both, and that is the argument this people has been having with itself for twenty-five years and has not won. I also explain who decides — three levels, and the third one is that book. Then I give you the dates. Four separate bans on the internet in twelve years, and what the ordinances were saying by 2019. And the court case that went to the Supreme Court of Canada over a photograph on a driving licence, which we lost four to three. At the end there is a number about my own branch of this people that I have read several times and still cannot explain. I say so on camera rather than pretending I have an answer. My wife is the head cook on this colony and has her own channel. SOURCES Alberta v. Hutterian Brethren of Wilson Colony, 2009 SCC 37 — the driving licence photograph case, decided four to three. The Hutterite ordinances, 1762 to the present, as catalogued and translated in the published research on Hutterite communal law. The 2018 Hutterite telephone directory count of central versus individual household listings. NOTE ON HONESTY The sentence "everyone here surfs the Internet" comes from one man, on one Lehrerleut colony, speaking to researchers in 2014. It is a single source and I treat it as one. The telephone directory percentages come from one count, of one year's directory. I do not know whether 2018 was typical. And I do not have an explanation for why the strictest branch is the most connected one. I have three guesses and I did not put any of them in the video, because I do not believe them enough. This channel is narrated by a composite character. The voice and image are AI-generated. Everything factual about Hutterite life in it is sourced above or flagged as unverified.
