Description

Why did this mechanic just permanently rivet an engine part shut?! 🔩🤬 When working on small engine parts like a carburetor, the tiny metal screw holes can easily strip out! When the threads are destroyed, the screws won't hold and the engine will leak fuel and air. Instead of using a thread repair kit, this mechanic chose the most aggressive, permanent fix possible! Using a heavy-duty Stanley hand tool, they install solid metal pop rivets into the casting! The gun pulls the metal pin until the aluminum sleeve crushes perfectly flat, and then violently snaps the pin off with a loud pop! While it holds the metal tightly together, mechanics absolutely hate this trick because it means the part is permanently locked and can never be easily taken apart for maintenance again!
