Description
Want any app you like, for free? REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) is the open-source GitHub repo of the moment: it lets your AI agent work out how a feature of an app actually works, so it can build you your own version.
1️⃣ Find the official repo: search "REA reverse engineer anything GitHub" and open github.com/morluto/rea
2️⃣ Open your AI agent (I use Claude Code).
3️⃣ Install it with one command: npx rea-agents setup
4️⃣ The test: I asked Claude to use REA on ShareX. REA found its Image Beautifier and traced how it draws, call by call. With that recipe, Claude Code built MiniShot, my own small web version, in about 7 minutes (4 of analysis, 3 of building).

⚠️ Watch out for copies: the official one installs from npm (npx rea-agents setup), not from a ZIP.

⚖️ Is it legal? REA is meant for lawful research, education, interoperability, preservation, and analyzing software you own or are authorized to examine. Get inspired by how a feature works, but don't copy anyone's code, design, assets or brand, and don't sell copies. Respect the licenses. Laws vary by country, and I'm not a lawyer: if you plan to sell something, check first. The full video covers this at 3:16.
