Description

Vineeta Singh responds to the criticism surrounding SUGAR Cosmetics’ massive valuation cut. SUGAR recently raised ₹144.5 crore from existing investor A91 Partners at a reported valuation of around ₹550–755 crore, significantly below its previous valuation of around ₹2,600–2,700 crore in 2024 and its peak of nearly ₹3,000 crore in 2022. The latest round represents a sharp 75–80% valuation decline. The company has also faced pressure from falling revenue and rising losses, with FY25 operating revenue dropping around 20% to ₹404.4 crore while net loss nearly doubled to ₹135 crore. Addressing the criticism in an Instagram video, SUGAR co-founder and CEO Vineeta Singh acknowledged the lower valuation and said she and co-founder Kaushik Mukherjee are focused on continuing to build the company. Her message was simple: “Picture abhi baaki hai.” Keywords: Vineeta Singh, SUGAR Cosmetics, Shark Tank India, SUGAR valuation, valuation cut, funding round, A91 Partners, startup news, business news, Indian startups, D2C beauty brand #VineetaSingh #SUGARCosmetics #SharkTankIndia #BusinessNews #SharkTankNews
