Ares did what no others could #history #art #greekmythology

While Greek mythology is filled with ruthless actions by Olympian gods, Ares—the god of war—holds a surprisingly unique record. Brought before the council of the gods on trial by an enraged Poseidon, Ares defended his actions as a father protecting his child—and the gods acquitted him.
