However, when the greedy groom abandons the ceremony over unmet dowry demands, Madhav steps in to protect his friend’s dignity by compelling a reluctant Rajiv to marry Ritu instead. Upon arriving in the city, Ritu faces immediate rejection: Rajiv is appalled by her dark complexion and refuses to accept her as his wife, neighborly women mock her appearance during the unveiling ceremony, and Rajiv’s mother Sushmita laments the match. Amid this hostility, Rajiv's three modern sisters—Maanvi, Kirti, and Kavya—stand firmly by their new sister-in-law, recognizing her pure heart and resolving to transform her confidence. While Rajiv abandons the household for a month under the pretext of work to indulge in an extravagant affair with his scheming girlfriend Tina—foolishly handing over his life savings to her—the three sisters take Ritu under their wing, giving her a salon makeover, teaching her modern styling, grooming, and fluent conversational skills that allow her inner poise to shine. Meanwhile, Tina flees with all of Rajiv’s money and cuts off contact, leaving him destitute and humbled when he returns home to discover a stunningly poised and confident Ritu. The true turning point arrives when Madhav suffers a critical cardiac emergency requiring five lakh rupees for immediate treatment; while a penniless Rajiv breaks down in despair, Ritu unhesitatingly surrenders her wedding jewelry to save her father-in-law's life. Shaken by her selfless devotion, Rajiv confesses Tina’s betrayal, only for his sisters to reveal they had already reported Tina's serial fraud to the police, ensuring her arrest and the recovery of the stolen funds. Confronted with Tina's deceit and Ritu’s boundless grace, Rajiv and his mother sincerely apologize for their shallow prejudice, realizing that genuine beauty lies not in skin color, but in character, empathy, and unconditional love.
