The wealthy sisters-in-law maintain Ruchika's affection purely through cheap knockoffs of luxury brands bought online to preserve their standing without real effort. The turning point arrives just before Karwa Chauth, when Ruchika tearfully calls her mother claiming her in-laws accused her of theft and cast her and her husband, Ravi, out onto the street. While the wealthy sisters-in-law immediately refuse financial aid to protect their own interests and the brothers turn bitter, the self-sacrificing Gayatri and Yamini step forward unconditionally. They discreetly sell their own gold heirloom earrings to secure rented lodging for the couple, sacrifice their newly bought festival sarees to tailor a lavish lehenga for Ruchika, and send her their own ceremonial Karwa Chauth thali. On the evening of Karwa Chauth, as Ruchika arrives in her handmade attire, her in-laws arrive to disclose that the theft accusation and exile were merely a planned drama orchestrated alongside her husband to break her superficial vanity and reveal who genuinely valued her. Humbled and tearful, Ruchika embraces Gayatri and Yamini in profound remorse, finally realizing that genuine devotion and family sacrifice far outweigh hollow, materialistic pretenses.
