She enjoys being the center of attention whenever food is discussed and becomes insecure whenever she thinks someone else might receive more praise than her. One day, a neighbor named Hema comes to the house and offers potato parathas made by her newly married daughter-in-law. Instead of politely accepting them, Ishika proudly says that nobody in their house will eat them because her own parathas are much better. Hema becomes offended and leaves angrily. Urmila explains to Ishika that she should not speak to people with such arrogance, but Ishika does not take the advice seriously. The family continues enjoying her cooking, and Ishika’s confidence grows even more. Meanwhile, Vikas, the younger son of the family, is secretly in love with his college classmate Rani, a 24-year-old woman who is also a good cook. Rani especially knows how to prepare delicious egg bhurji. One day, Rani tells Vikas that her parents are discussing her marriage and that they may not agree to a love marriage. Vikas becomes worried and finally tells his family about Rani. Instead of rejecting his choice, the family accepts his relationship and decides to visit Rani’s home with a marriage proposal. When Vikas’s family visits Rani’s house, her mother Ganga asks Rani to prepare tea and snacks for the guests. Rani becomes disappointed because it is supposed to be her special day, and she tells Ishika that she wants everyone to eat only the dishes she prepares. Ishika refuses and confidently declares that her parathas will definitely be served. The argument turns into a direct challenge between the two women.
