North America’s Bears Are More Diverse Than You Think

North America’s Bears Are More Diverse Than You Think Most people think they already know the bears of North America. After all, there are only three living species. The polar bear. The brown bear. The American black bear. That sounds like a simple story. Well, It isn't. Look a little closer, and those three bears become far more than three. Populations separated by mountains, islands, forests, and ice spent thousands of years following their own path. Little by little, the land left its mark on them. Some became the largest bears on Earth. Others exist in only one small corner of the continent. A few are so different that you would never expect them to belong to the same species. ➽Consider subscribing: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI5RX1o0cE5SKwHWRj_GVqA?sub_confirmation=1 ➽Narrated By: Christian Neale ➽Audio: YouTube Audio Library ➽Contact: [email protected] Copyright Disclaimer under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976: Allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
