Description

A machine read rongorongo, the Easter Island script nobody alive can read. Then the files it came out of banned seven British universities from looking at it. The reading went up on a forum for programmers, made by someone who signs as the Operator and a team of AI agents, one of them called Spectre. It reads 740 signs and puts a confidence number next to each one. On one sign, carved 564 times into a wooden staff in Santiago, Chile, it says it's 95 percent sure. That wood has outlasted every reader it ever had. A text cut into the blade of a European oar. A tablet from a tree felled between 1493 and 1509, centuries before a European ship arrived. The slave raids of 1862 that took most of the people who knew the chants. A bishop's chanter who sang straight past a full moon, and an old man who refused to read for the crew of the USS Mohican, for the sake of his soul. Then the codebreaker who cracked Maya, a linguist who said he'd cracked this script and was taken apart in print, and Google's own machines, from the AI that reads broken Greek and Latin stone to the Willow chip in Santa Barbara. And at the end, what that one sign says, and why nobody will put their name under it. #rongorongo #easterisland #quantumai Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcMOgmkKMJ4U6pQSB6-TffQ?sub_confirmation=1 SOURCES Lackadaisical Security, rongorongo-deciphered-public (GitHub): https://github.com/Lackadaisical-Security/rongorongo-deciphered-public Rongorongo: How I used AI and VSCode custom agents to crack a lost language, Cursor forum, 12 Aug 2025: https://forum.cursor.com/t/rongorongo-how-i-used-ai-vscode-custom-agents-to-crack-a-lost-language/128793 Rongorongo, Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rongorongo Decipherment of rongorongo, Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decipherment_of_rongorongo Rongorongo text A (Tahua), Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rongorongo_text_A Rongorongo text C (Mamari), Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rongorongo_text_C Research reveals the natives of Easter Island invented a written language from scratch, Smithsonian Magazine (Ferrara et al., Scientific Reports, 2024): https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/research-reveals-the-natives-of-easter-island-invented-a-written-language-from-scratch-180983793/ Rongorongo tablets in Rome radiocarbon dated, Archaeology Magazine, Feb 2024: https://archaeology.org/news/2024/02/09/240212-rongorongo-tablet-glyph/ Coe, M.
