A Zen Lesson That Will Change How You See Every Crowded Room You Walk Into

A frog king stands between two ponds. One is enormous, packed with hundreds of frogs fighting for space. The other is small, clear, and empty. He chooses the small one. His people abandon him. Then the drought continues. This is Jataka Tale 367, one of the oldest teaching stories in the Buddhist tradition. It's about the version of safety that looks like abundance but runs out when conditions change. And the version of safety that looks like limitation but comes from something deeper than the surface. The question is not which pond has more water today. The question is which pond has a spring.
