Description

Long before the Inuit arrived at the top of the world, they say another people were already here — the Tuniit, remembered as tall, powerful, and strangely shy, a people who could haul enormous stones and then vanished without a war. For a thousand years this was dismissed as Arctic folklore. Then modern DNA science tested the bones in the old ruins — and the laboratory told almost exactly the same story the elders had been telling all along. In this documentary we follow the trail of the Tuniit, the "first inhabitants," from Inuit oral tradition to the archaeological remains of the vanished Dorset culture, and finally to the genetic study that confirmed a distinct people who lived across the Arctic for thousands of years and then disappeared roughly seven hundred years ago. This is a story about a lost people, forgotten history, and how an oral memory carried across a hundred generations turned out to be a record more accurate than anyone expected. If you enjoy forgotten history, ancient mysteries, and indigenous traditions explored through real records and archaeology, subscribe and let me know in the comments what you believe really happened to the Tuniit. #AncientMysteries #ForgottenHistory #Inuit #ArcticHistory #LostCivilizations This video explores historical records, archaeology, and oral traditions for educational and entertainment purposes; interpretations may vary.
