Description

In the spring of 2025, General Motors told the owners of nearly six hundred thousand trucks and SUVs that it had finally found what was killing their engines, and that it had a fix. But more than a year later, federal investigators are staring at four hundred and ninety-nine complaints from owners whose engines failed after that fix was already done. Some of those owners had only received an oil change. Others had already been handed a brand new engine, and those failed too. So what exactly did GM fix, if the engines keep dying long after the repair?
