Clint Eastwood Treats His Actors Like Horses

Tom Hanks shared a hilarious story about what it was like working under director Clint Eastwood while filming the 2016 movie Sully. Hanks revealed that Eastwood treated his actors like skittish horses due to his days starring in the 1960s Western series Rawhide. Back then, old-school directors loved using megaphones and dramatically shouting "Action!", which constantly spooked the horses and caused them to bolt. Wanting to avoid startling his cast the same way, Eastwood banned all the theatrical buildup on his own movie sets. Instead of yelling, Eastwood quietly murmured a soft "Alright, go ahead" to start a scene, leaving his cast completely caught off guard. Seeing Tom Hanks imitate Clint Eastwood softly whispering directions to avoid spooking his actors like jumpy horses is pure gold. #tomhanks #sully #clinteastwood #rawhide #behindthescenes #funny #viral #funnymoments #shorts #comedy #interview #latenight #celebritystories 📝 Every upload is transformed from the ground up — original edits, custom subtitles, overlays, and real critical commentary.
