Description

A House hearing. Two tattoos on the screen. One question that never gets a yes or no. Rep. Brandon Gill presses Southern Poverty Law Center interim CEO Bryan Fair on how the group judges symbols. He puts up Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's Jerusalem cross, which Gill says the SPLC labels a hate image. Then comes Senate candidate Graham Platner's tattoo, which Gill calls a Nazi SS death's head and which Platner has said he covered up. The questions turn to abortion. Gill reads an SPLC statement tying abortion restrictions to white supremacy and asks whether pro-lifers are white supremacists. He cites figures that about 40 percent of abortions involve Black women, who are about 13 percent of the population. As his time expires, Gill passes the final question to Dr. Alveda King. Her answer points straight at Planned Parenthood.
