Description
🐾 Want a longer, healthier life for your pet — and to support the channel while you're at it? My complete owner's manual is here: https://stevecooperpets.com/
Your dog forgives you for these a dozen times a week, without a growl, a sulk or a grudge. Number one isn't something you do to your dog at all, and you'll probably do it tonight within ten minutes of getting home.
My name's Steve Cooper. I grew up with a dog under the table and I've fostered more strays than I can count. In this video I go through 15 everyday habits your dog secretly hates, and how to fix each one. None of them are cruel. Every one is a kindness read wrong from the other end of the leash.
You'll find out why pulling your dog away from a good sniff takes away his "morning paper," why human shampoo is wrong for dog skin, and how perfume, cleaners, the vacuum and a loud TV hit a dog's nose and ears much harder than yours. We also look at why patting the top of the head, hugging and a hard stare can make a dog uneasy, and which stress signals to watch for, like lip licking, head turns and whale eye.
Then we get to the bigger ones: waking a sleeping dog, rules that keep changing, shouting "no," what the famous "guilty look" really means, fake throws that wear down trust, why you should never punish a growl, and how big goodbyes can make being alone harder.
At the end there's a simple 10-minute homework for tonight. Your dog has been waiting all day for it.
Subscribe if you want to finally understand what your dog has been telling you all along.
