Not for children. Viewer discretion advised. Agni: Rise of Asura | Chapter 3: Shadows in the Dark A dark mythological science-fantasy audio drama by Ashwin Chitransh, from the Echoes of Bhu universe. Nine hundred B.C., Human Calendar. Planet Kritika. Ajeya is a young scientist of the Royal Science Academy, crossing the frozen night side of Kritika, a place where the sun never rises, to oversee the final construction of a research facility far from the populated twilight zone. The cockpit hums, the dark presses against the viewport like something alive, and his mind is elsewhere: for the hundredth time he is watching a recorded lecture by Nandini, the princess who chose him. Through that recording the story slips into memory: an orphan with no family name and a trembling presentation at the Royal Science Exhibition; a princess whose questions saw further than his own; the evening in the palace gardens when she chose him; King Shantanu's embrace and a warning from her brother, the legendary Prince Shaktiveer; and the night before the wedding, in a small hut lit by a single diya, when she gave him a family heirloom bracelet. Then the warning lights turn red. The transport lurches, the connection to the palace is cut, and Ajeya steps out onto the ice with only the lamps on his shoulders to see by, into a silence so complete that every sound in it matters. "Even the most brilliant mind can be a fragile thing, shattered by the cold embrace of betrayal under a starless sky." — An Asura proverb CHAPTERS 0:00 Opening 0:16 Title & Proverb 0:43 The Night Side 2:48 Nandini's Lecture 6:58 The Royal Science Exhibition 8:46 The Palace Garden 10:14 The King's Blessing 11:11 The Night Before the Wedding 13:31 Red Alert 15:22 Out on the Ice 17:28 Something in the Dark 26:43 Under a Starless Sky 28:30 The Heirloom 29:06 Next: Chapter 4 CREDITS Written & Created by Ashwin Chitransh Voices (AI voices via ElevenLabs, eleven_v4): Narrator: Gothic Indian (kgnyuKDq6Cj1rBX4TQVm) Ajeya: qik7eOKSAubAR40tlmcM Nandini: w6sV8iEbUQxvxGWsmpNP King Shantanu: nNfCWokeFk95geXP7qjo Prince Shaktiveer: W6SLVqde8hqC8SnP1GKi Music: AI-generated instrumental beds for the story (ElevenLabs Music and Google Lyria, some reused from earlier Echoes of Bhu chapters; no vocals), edited and mixed by Echoes of Bhu Studio End-card song: "Pyre" (vocal track, see the Music Links below) Sound Design & Mix: Echoes of Bhu Studio Visuals: AI-generated stills composed and edited by Ashwin Chitransh AI disclosure: this video contains AI-generated voices, music and imagery (altered or synthetic content).
