Description

"Golden Twins": a song where every sound is a math function. No instruments, no samples. The melody is the Fibonacci numbers mod 7. Under it sings its twin, the Lucas numbers (2, 1, 3, 4, 7, 11, ...) mod 7, and the two lines move together in harmony. Both sequences grow by the golden ratio, which is where the name comes from. The drums are exponential decays placed by floor(5q/8). The 808 is r + 0.5e^(-1.5x) on A minor, F, C, G. Before each drop, Zeno's paradox squeezes infinitely many snare hits into a finite time. In the last drop the beat switches to a Jersey Club bounce and the whole song lifts a whole step, from A minor to B minor. How to watch: each lane of the road is one instrument, the height of its curve is the pitch (f = 55 Hz × 2^y), and the white gate is "now". You always see what's coming. 0:00 Intro 0:12 Verse 0:38 Drop 1 1:04 Break 1:16 Verse 2 1:29 Build-up 1:42 Drop 2 (Jersey Club) 2:08 Outro Song 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9juhm97co1U #math #music #fibonacci
