Inside Operation Coldfeet: Skyhook Exfiltration and the Inflatable Escape Plane

Rare once-classified footage pulls you inside the CIA’s wildest Cold War ideas and the real mission that proved one of them works. From a box-packed inflatable plane to a nose-mounted aerial pickup, these were the secret weapons built for super spies up against the Iron Curtain. We trace Goodyear’s inflator plane from nifty concept to tragic setback, then follow inventor Robert Fulton’s Skyhook to its ultimate trial by ice: Operation Coldfeet. Watch how a CIA-front B-17, brutal Arctic winds, and two gutsy operatives turned a high-risk theory into a daring extraction. Along the way, discover why a tiny Minox camera both saved and doomed Oleg Penkovsky, how an “Acoustic Kitty” became espionage legend, and how the U-2 ended the bomber gap before the SR-71 Blackbird outran missiles over Hanoi. If you’re fascinated by ingenious spy tech, high-altitude reconnaissance, and real operations that changed the balance of fear, this is unmissable. Hit play to see how the CIA pushed invention to the edge—and sometimes beyond it. #ColdWar #OperationColdfeet #Skyhook #SR71 #U2SpyPlane #CIA #SpyTech
