This Olympic Rule Would Never Fly Today #olympichistory #sportsrules #sportshistory

The first Olympic athletes competed completely naked. Here's why. In ancient Greece, athletic competitions were held in honor of the gods, and the human body was seen as a symbol of strength and perfection. Athletes trained and competed nude to celebrate this ideal, and some historians believe it also removed any advantage clothing might give. Women weren't even allowed to watch, on penalty of death. The Olympics we know today look nothing like where they actually began. #olympics #olympicgames #athletelife #sportsculture #rulechange #sportsdebate #olympicspirit #athleticcompetition #sportsevolution #olympiclegacy #sportsfacts #olympicmoments #gamechanger #sportsanalysis #olympicathletes #sportsdocumentary #olympichighlights #sportstrivia #olympicevents #sportsnews #athletestories #olympicjourney
