Description

A Boeing 767-300 freighter crashed off the end of the runway in Miami after an extremely unstable approach to Runway 30. ADS-B data shows the aircraft was more than 30 knots fast and descending at over 2,000 feet per minute at just 500 feet above the field. Then came a hard, unusual touchdown that may have compromised spoilers, thrust reversers, and effective braking at exactly the moment the crew needed maximum deceleration. In this short, we break down how a high, fast approach turned into a runway overrun and post-crash fire.
