Hundreds of People Hallucinate the Same Tiny Elf-Like Figures Every Year | Joe Rogan -

Every summer, hundreds of people in China’s Yunnan province report seeing the same tiny, elf-like figures after eating a local mushroom, and scientists still haven’t identified the compound responsible. In this clip, Joe Rogan discusses a reported phenomenon in which patients at a Yunnan hospital describe nearly identical visions of miniature humans marching under doors and crawling up furniture after eating a locally popular mushroom. The conversation connects this to the “little people” traditions found among many Native American nations, speculates about the old Christmas imagery that pairs elves with red-and-white mushrooms, and asks whether psychedelic experiences are hallucinations or a window onto something that is “there all the time.” It also touches on why so many people report similar Bigfoot sightings. If hundreds of people independently see the same tiny figures, is it a quirk of the brain, or is something else going on? 💬 What do you think explains the “little people” visions?
