Always Keep These 5 Cans. Each One Is a Dinner for One

It’s six o’clock, I’ve got no plan, and I’m not going to the store. In this video, I turn five dependable cans into simple dinners for one—and if I can make them after spending most of my life not cooking, you’ll be just fine. I’ll show you how I make black bean quesadillas, baked chicken patties, easy chili mac, crispy salmon cakes, and a hash-and-egg skillet. I’ll also explain what goes well with each meal, how I changed the original recipes, how long leftovers keep, and the canned-food safety guidance and safe temperatures provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. 0:00 Five no-plan canned dinners 0:48 Canned food safety basics 1:29 Black bean quesadillas 4:04 Baked chicken patties 5:35 Easy chili mac 7:03 Crispy salmon cakes 7:50 Hash and egg skillet 8:59 Three dinners to try #DinnerForOne #EasyDinners #CannedFood #BudgetMeals #SimpleRecipes
