Description
US forces have now sunk eight vessels tied to Los Choneros, Ecuador's most violent narco-terrorist organization, in under three weeks. Two more floating refueling stations went down on September 15 and 16 alone, part of a campaign that shows no sign of stopping.
Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere keeps targeting the same type of vessel — motherships that exist purely to refuel go-fast boats far offshore, extending the range of shipments running north toward Central America and Mexico. This video breaks down why refueling ships specifically are the target, what the Americas Counter Cartel Coalition actually is and which 19 nations are now part of it, how much of the U.S. military's own ships and personnel are carrying the operational weight, and who Los Choneros really are — a criminal federation running out of Ecuador's prison system with an estimated membership in the tens of thousands, moving an estimated 30-40 metric tons of product north every month even after its former leader's capture and extradition to the U.S.
Featuring official Secretary of War Pete Hegseth remarks to the Americas Counter Cartel Coalition, plus official U.S. Southern Command footage of the September 15 and 16 interdictions.
