Description
My books are on sale now 📖 Do or Die, and the set of three.

FEMA and the Red Cross both say one gallon of water a person a day, three days of it to leave with. One ready-made bag sold for two people carries twelve 4.2 oz water pouches, about 50 ounces in all; a $229 bag carries none, and its own page says the pockets labeled lighter, matches, flashlight and water filter come empty. When more than 3 million people left south Texas ahead of a hurricane in 2005, trips took 18 to 24 hours. Doug laid $25.66 of Walmart items on his tailgate beside a ready-made bag, item against item, and added one thing $25 doesn't buy: a $17.97 water filter.

In this video, we talk about a $25 survival kit against a $250 bug out bag, including a $1.47 gallon of water against the sealed pouches, why a filter's printed rating means you boil it anyway, a $6.54 tarp and 50 feet of paracord against the tube tent, why the cold comes from the ground, two lighters for $3.24 and the county burn ban that comes first, a $1.97 headlamp against the crank light and the glow sticks, counting a "200-piece" first aid kit by what's in it, a plain pocket knife as a tool, and the one thing the expensive bag does better: sealed food and water with a five-year shelf life.
