Description

#Albuquerque #NewMexico #EliasOtero #Snapchat #Carjacking #Kidnapping #911Call Snapchat date ended in a driveway shootout in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and one text sent minutes afterward sits at the center of it: "I ran. I'm still running." At 2:22 a.m. on February 11, 2021, a 911 call reports a man shot outside a home on Timothy Court. Officers arrive to find 24-year-old Elias Otero, a former Department of Corrections officer, lying in the road while his younger brother tries to save him with CPR. Casings cover the street, four guns are on the ground, and about eight people are on scene. Police can't tell who is a witness, who is a victim, and who is responsible. The story traces back to Elias's 19-year-old brother, Nicholas, who says it began with a girl he met on Snapchat. He drove her to Alvarado Park. Then, he says, three masked, armed men came at him. What followed was a robbery, a kidnapping at gunpoint, a drive to his brothers' house, and a gunfight. Detectives then trace the girl's phone number, her Snapchat account, and cell phone tower records to test what she told Nick. The account she eventually gives police is not the one they expected. In this video, we go through the 911 call, the scene, the detective interviews, and the digital evidence that changed the direction of the investigation. Was the girl another victim, or part of the plan? Watch to the end and tell us in the comments what you think. This is a true crime documentary and case breakdown, built around real 911 audio, on-scene police footage, and detective interviews.
