Description
There is something deeply rewarding about a homesteading lifestyle.
The garden is providing once again. Fresh cucumbers, green beans, and tomatoes are beginning to fill the harvest baskets, while the squash and zucchini just keep producing. Every day brings another reminder of God’s provision through the work of our hands.
Today’s bread was made from fresh-milled flour, filling the kitchen with the comforting aroma that only homemade bread can bring. Lunch was just as special—a homemade ham salad prepared the old-fashioned way using a 100-year-old hand-crank grinder and mixed with homemade mayonnaise.
It’s a simple meal, but one that tells a story of self-sufficiency, tradition, and knowing exactly where your food comes from.
There’s a special satisfaction in sitting down to a meal that didn’t come from a grocery store shelf. Food grown naturally, prepared by hand, and shared with family is hard to beat.
Homesteading isn’t always the easiest path, but it’s one of the most rewarding. Every seed planted, every loaf baked, and every meal made from scratch is another step toward a healthier, more intentional way of living.
