On paper, heroes with exceptional abilities should never get old, but in practice, they kinda do. Which is exactly why I consider the most timeless type of hero to actually be… the idiot. The genius writing behind Into the Spiderverse, Kung Fu Panda, and The Lego Movie all have one thing in common: their heroes are dumb. At least at first.
