Description

At a certain age, you start realizing that you don't have to live by every rule society gives you. In this video, I’m sharing 14 social norms I no longer participate in after many years of life experience. These aren’t rules for everyone—they’re simply lessons and choices that have made my life quieter, simpler, and more meaningful. Here are the 14 things I’ve stopped doing: 1. Living only for the weekends 2. Measuring success by money 3. Treating busyness as a badge of honor 4. Celebrating long working hours 5. Dressing to impress people 6. Attending every social event 7. Saying yes to everything 8. Rushing around during rush hour 9. Eating simply because the clock says it’s time 10. Answering every phone call 11. Automatically saying “I’m fine” 12. Living with a completely packed calendar 13. Always buying new 14. Letting my job define who I am Getting older teaches you that your time, health, peace, and relationships are often worth more than impressing people or keeping up with everyone else. If you're entering retirement, already retired, or simply looking for a quieter and more intentional way to live, I hope something in this video gives you something to think about. Thank you for watching.
