Description
After 70, your time becomes more valuable than ever. You’ve spent decades working, raising families, solving problems, helping others, and doing what was expected of you. But there comes a point when you have to ask yourself: Is the way I’m spending my time still serving the life I want to live?
In this video, I share 7 things that may be quietly wasting your time after 70. These are lessons I’ve learned through years of experience, mistakes, responsibilities, and simply growing older. Sometimes the things that once helped us succeed can become the very things that keep us from enjoying the life we have today.
We’ll talk about:
1. Pushing through fatigue just to prove you're still strong
2. Trying to be needed by everybody
3. Living according to the person you used to be
4. Trying to control other people’s feelings and opinions
5. Staying busy just to avoid being still
6. Living every day without intention
7. Believing gratitude means you’re not allowed to want anything more
Getting older doesn't mean your life has to become smaller. You can still learn, change, explore, laugh, love, create, and discover new meaning. Your past matters, but it doesn't have to dictate how you spend the years ahead.
If you're over 70—or simply thinking about how you want to spend the next chapter of your life—I hope this conversation gives you something to reflect on.
Thank you for spending a little of your valuable time with me. Take care of yourself, cherish the people you love, and remember to save some time for yourself, too.
