Richard Pryor Set Himself on FIRE… And Somehow Came Back

But behind the laughter was a life marked by addiction, personal turmoil, and dangerous behavior. Then, in 1980, Pryor suffered catastrophic burns after setting himself on fire while freebasing cocaine. He survived an experience that could have ended his life — and somehow turned one of the darkest moments of his existence into comedy.
