Why does a man who would rather avoid violence enter a fighting tournament? What is the story behind his skull necklace? And how did a fire-breathing yogi become a scientist in Hollywood? This Street Fighter character documentary explores Dhalsim's origin and backstory, how Akira "Akiman" Yasuda created his memorable design, and why he fights for his village. We follow his evolution through Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter V and Street Fighter 6, examine the fan theories surrounding his skulls, and revisit both Roshan Seth's 1994 portrayal and Vidyut Jammwal's yogi warrior. The story linking Dhalsim's skull necklace to children from his village is fan lore, not a confirmed Capcom explanation.
