Description

Does China no longer need EUV? It’s still too early to say that — but the direction is becoming more and more interesting. Instead of focusing only on making silicon transistors smaller and smaller, researchers are exploring very different approaches: two-dimensional materials just a few atoms thick, MoS₂ transistors, wave-based computing, photonic computing, and memory technologies where a state can be defined by extremely small numbers of electrons. That is exactly where our full Xenon Lab episode begins — with the question of what may come after silicon. The biggest intrigue is this: can China do more than simply catch up with global leaders in traditional microelectronics? Could it develop alternative technologies that reduce dependence on the most advanced manufacturing processes? The full episode is already available on the Xenon Lab channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr8nLCnX1jk #XenonLab #China #EUV #ASML #Semiconductors #Chips #Processors #Silicon #MoS2 #Transistors #Microelectronics #PhotonicComputing #WaveComputing #Nanotechnology #FutureTech #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #Science #ChipTech #Innovation
