Description
I caught my son's cold, and my throat has been hurting since this morning. With my son away, I finally have a quiet day to rest.
But can I really sit still? Tonight, my husband made dinner for us.
I'm a Japanese housewife in my 50s living in Japan. Between housework and caring for my family, I've spent years filling every spare moment with things that need to be done.
Growing up, I hardly remember ever seeing my mother simply sitting down and relaxing.
I used to wonder why she couldn't just take a break. But now that I have a family of my own, I've realized that I've become just like her.
In this vlog, I share a day at home in Japan while I'm sick with a cold, some unexpected household troubles, and a simple dinner that my husband helped prepare.
I'm slowly learning that taking care of myself sometimes means deciding what *not* to do.
Thank you for spending time with me today. 🌿

💬 Do you also find it difficult to rest, even when you have free time? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. ☺️
