Description

“Someday, the right time will come for me to start something for myself.” Holding on to that thought, I spent years waiting. Then this year, at 50, I decided to stop waiting. This is the real reason I started this channel. I’m a Japanese housewife living a quiet, slow life in Japan. Since my child was born, I have devoted most of my life to my family, quietly letting go of the dreams I once had for myself. In this video, I share an ordinary day in my life, along with thoughts I usually keep to myself. I talk about motherhood, the dreams I had as a child, and what finally inspired me to start making videos in my 50s. If you have ever wondered whether it might be too late to start something new, I hope this video speaks to you. 🌿 About This Channel I share the simple, everyday moments of my life in Japan. Through quiet scenes and honest captions, I share my life and the thoughts in my heart. If you are curious about real daily life in Japan, Japanese home cooking, or simply enjoy quietly watching someone’s ordinary, unfiltered day, I hope you will feel at home here. ☺️ Do you think it is ever too late to start something new? Please let me know in the comments. 🍳 Recipes • Simmered Daikon and Squid Tentacles * ½ daikon radish * 1 package squid tentacles * 1 tbsp soy sauce * 1 tbsp mirin * 1 tbsp sake • Dried Daikon Salad * 1 handful dried shredded daikon * 1 cucumber * 1 tbsp vinegar * ½ tbsp soy sauce • Green Beans with Sesame Dressing * Green beans * 1 tbsp ground white sesame seeds * ½ tbsp soy sauce #LifeInJapan #JapanVlog #QuietLife #StartingOver
