15 Forgotten Survival Tools Native Elders Trusted In The Woods 100 Years Ago

Some of the best survival tools were already being carried more than 100 years ago. In this video, I look at 15 forgotten military survival tools and explain why so many of their design principles still make sense in the wilderness today. From simple shelter systems and metal canteen cups to wool blankets, ponchos, compasses, repair kits, fire starters, and compact fishing gear, these tools were built around one important rule: every ounce had to earn its place. But the most important survival tool on this list weighs nothing. Drawing from decades spent in Montana’s Rocky Mountain country, I explain what these old tools can teach us about modern survival, preparedness, navigation, shelter, fire, water, equipment repair, and staying independent when technology fails. In this video you’ll learn about: * Forgotten military survival equipment * Old-school wilderness tools * Multi-purpose survival gear * Shelter and rain protection * Fire-starting methods * Water and cooking equipment * Navigation without electronics * Emergency signaling * Field repairs * Why survival knowledge matters more than expensive gear Subscribe for more practical wilderness knowledge, forgotten survival methods, old tools, mountain experience, and lessons that are still worth knowing today. #Survival #SurvivalSkills #Bushcraft #WildernessSurvival #OldSchoolSurvival
