Description

In 1986 a drill went into a wall inside the Great Pyramid with about 50 journalists watching, and what came back out was sand. Nobody has been allowed to put a drill into that pyramid since. Everything we have learned about the inside of the Great Pyramid since then was learned without touching the stone. Cosmic ray muons, ground penetrating radar, ultrasound and one endoscope on the end of a cable. That work found a space at least 30 metres long above the Grand Gallery that no human being has ever entered, and a 9 metre corridor behind the Chevron measured to the centimetre and then filmed, and found empty. It also left a gap, and in March 2025 a press conference filled it with eight shafts, spiral staircases and an underground city beneath Khafre. On 10 August 2026 the journal Remote Sensing retracted the paper that claim was resting on. This video covers the 1986 drilling, the heritage rule it left behind, the Alvarez muon experiment of the 1960s, the ScanPyramids Big Void, the North Face Corridor, the Khafre satellite radar claim and its retraction, and the muon telescope that has had Egyptian approval since 2018 and has never been built.
