Inside Marjah: Operation Moshtarak with U.S. Marines and Afghan Army

“You have to act.” What follows is five days that Marines will never forget. Step inside Operation Moshtarak as U.S. Marines and Afghan soldiers fight to retake Marjah, Helmand in the wake of the surge. From the first chaotic landings to 360-degree contact, this film captures split-second decisions under fire, a sniper round stopped by a helmet mount, medevacs dodging RPGs, and daisy‑chained IED traps designed to wipe out whole platoons. Inside compounds, Marines uncover opium stores and bomb-making chemicals while commanders wrestle with restraint, civilians in the crossfire, and the promise of “government in a box.” On camera, we witness a raw condolence visit after a tragic strike, and the uneasy work of holding ground, reopening the bazaar, and standing up local police. If you want an unfiltered view of counterinsurgency at street level in Helmand Province, this is it. Watch to see what “masters of controlled chaos” really means when tactics, ethics, and survival collide. Watch now to experience the battle for Marjah through those who fought it. #Marjah #OperationMoshtarak #USMarines #AfghanistanWar #Helmand #Documentary #AfghanArmy #Counterinsurgency
