I’m a Boomer, I’m 71, I’m Done. At 71, I’ve learned that getting older isn’t about giving up on life. It’s about finally letting go of the things that no longer deserve your time, energy, or peace. I’m done trying to impress people. Done comparing my life to someone else’s. Done worrying about how much money I should have saved, how young I should look, or what other people think about the way I live. After decades of working, making mistakes, learning, losing, and starting over, I’ve realized that life becomes much simpler when you stop living according to someone else’s definition of success. In this video, I share some of the lessons I’ve learned about aging, retirement, money, comparison, relationships, getting older, and finding peace with the life you actually have. If you’re in your 60s, 70s, 80s, or beyond, I hope this reminds you of something important: your story isn’t over. You may be in a different chapter, but there is still time to learn, laugh, travel, create, love, explore, and enjoy the ordinary moments that make life meaningful. Getting older has its challenges.
