When You Don't Have the Answers, He Is Still God

I Will Rest, for You Are God is a Southern Gospel Quartet song about trusting God, surrendering tomorrow, finding peace in Jesus, and resting in the truth that our lives are safe in His hands. This original Brother Golston song is for anyone carrying questions about tomorrow — the road ahead, the answer that hasn't come, the door that still looks closed, or the mountain that hasn't moved. 🙏 Trusting God 🕊️ Peace in Jesus 🎙️ Southern Gospel Quartet ⛪ Old-Time Gospel 🙌 Faith Over Fear ✝️ Christian Encouragement 🌄 God Is in Control We often want God to show us the entire road before we're willing to take the next step. But faith doesn't always come with an explanation. Sometimes faith simply says: “I don't have to understand When my life is in Your hands.” The wind may rise. The clouds may gather. Tomorrow may still be uncertain. But the same God who carried you yesterday is already present in the tomorrow you're worried about today. You don't have to carry tomorrow before it arrives. You don't have to borrow its pain. You can leave it in His hands. And rest. “If the answer comes tomorrow I will praise You here today.” Whatever you're facing today, may this song remind you: He is still God on the mountain. He is still God in the rain. And you can rest because He has not changed. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 Intro – I Will Rest 0:10 Verse 1 – I Know the One Who Bears My Load 0:43 Pre-Chorus – In Your Hands 0:53 Chorus – I Will Rest, for You Are God 1:26 Verse 2 – The God Who Makes a Way 1:59 Pre-Chorus – I Don't Have to Understand 2:09 Chorus – Every Tomorrow's in Your Hands 2:38 Quartet Break – You Are God 2:54 Bridge – No More Carrying Tomorrow 3:16 Final Chorus – I Will Rest and Believe LYRICS [Verse 1] The morning comes, I hear Your voice And in Your hands I will rejoice I don't have to know the road I know the One who bears my load The wind may rise, the clouds may roll But there is peace within my soul I will not fear what lies ahead I'll trust in every word You said [Pre-Chorus] I don't have to understand When my life is in Your hands [Chorus] I will rest, for You are God You have brought me safe this far I will trust You where I stand Every tomorrow's in Your hands I will rest, I will believe You are all I'll ever need Let the whole world hurry on I will rest, for You are God [Verse 2] I've seen You make a crooked way Turn into mercy day by day I've seen a door I thought was closed Open where only Heaven knows So when the trouble calls my name My heart will answer just the same The God who kept me yesterday Will be the God who makes a way [Pre-Chorus] I don't have to understand When my life is in Your hands [Chorus] I will rest, for You are God You have brought me safe this far I will trust You where I stand Every tomorrow's in Your hands I will rest, I will believe You are all I'll ever need Let the whole world hurry on I will rest, for You are God [Quartet Break] You are God Yes, You are Through the valley Near or far You are God Still the same I can rest Upon Your name [Bridge] If the answer comes tomorrow I will praise You here today If the mountain keeps on standing I know You will make a way No more carrying tomorrow No more borrowing its pain You are God upon the mountain You are God down in the rain [Final Chorus] I will rest, for You are God You have brought me safe this far I will trust You where I stand Every tomorrow's in Your hands I will rest, I will believe You are all I'll ever need Let the whole world hurry on I will rest, for You are God [Outro] I will rest I will trust I will leave it in Your hands I will rest For I know You are God If you're carrying something today that you've been trying to solve on your own, leave it in God's hands.
