Bible Devotional | Mark 4:40-41 | What Jesus Teaches Us About Fear | Oct 08, 2026

"When Storms Rise, Look Towards Jesus" : What do you do when the storms of life become stronger than your faith? In Mark 4:35-41, we see Jesus and His disciples caught in a terrifying storm on the Sea of Galilee. While the disciples are overwhelmed by fear, Jesus remains with them—and demonstrates His authority over the storm. This powerful Bible verse devotional reminds us that storms can come even when we are faithfully following God. Fear may tell us that we are alone, forgotten, or without hope, but the presence of Jesus reminds us that we are never facing the storm by ourselves. Through this story, discover how to overcome fear with faith, trust God during difficult circumstances, find peace in the middle of life's storms, and remember that Jesus is greater than anything we face. Mark 4:40-41 NLT: Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!” Blessed By His Word — Helping you grow in faith, one Scripture at a time.
